Vets Finding Vets has recently announced that the 2024 Soldier’s Friend Scholarship recipient is Eric Hamilton. He is a Marine Veteran who served in Iraq and is currently working and finishing up the last two semesters to receive his degree from Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan University.
In his “spare time” he is a fill-in for pastors at various local churches when they are on vacation or ill and is a Teen Mentor for Busti Church of God Youth Program and a Chautauqua Christian Academy Chapel Speaker. Add to that, speaking engagements wherever he is asked to go and outreach on our troubled streets of Jamestown.
Last but certainly not least, he has a beautiful wife and young son who I’m sure like to spend time with him as well.
Eric received his $1000 check in the presence of the Fenton Canteen Veterans who enjoyed conversing with him and asking questions.
