Recipe of the Month – Crescent Roll Dessert

“ALPHABET SOUP” is the cookbook created and published by the families of the M.J. Fletcher Elementary School 2009-2010. This recipe was submitted by Kathy Storms.

CRESCENT ROLL DESSERT

2 cans of crescent rolls
2 (8 ounce) pkgs. cream cheese
¾ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray the bottom of a 9×13” pan. Unroll one can of the crescent rolls onto the bottom of the pan. Pinch the edges together. Combine both packages of cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in a bowl until mixed. Spread onto the crescent roll layer in the pan. Unroll the second can of dough and place on top of the cream cheese layer.

For the topping, combine ½ cup melted butter, ¼ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Pour over the top of the crescent roll in the pan. Bake 25-30 minutes.
