The Hall House Research Library was recently surprised by Randall Paisley with the gift of twenty totes of new books. He purchased them over time with the intention of donating them to us to be used for research.
The collection contains an incredible selection of topics. There are several hundred biographies or family histories. There are group family histories set in specific locations, such as the two volumes set from Rhode Island and other collective groupings of surnames on some of the books.
For those of you descended from the Mayflower, we received one dozen plus Silver Books. This group will go a long way to completing our current collection of Mayflower Silver Books.
Interested in Peerage and Royalty? We have books for you! There is actually a collection of descendants of Charlemagne. How interesting all these look.
Rounding out the donation are “How to Books” that include assorted topics. Four of them are pertinent to DNA. All of them are up to date and include current information on the topics.
Mr. Paisley provided us with a complete inventory of the books that he donated, and we have printed it out and placed it in a folder for your use. Just ask when you come in and we would be delighted to retrieve one of the volumes for your use.
We thank Mr. Paisley for this gift and anticipate that it will benefit many families as they research their family history.
