Trivia Nights 2026

The Fenton History Center’s 11th trivia tournament was a success! We moved the event to March in an attempt to hold the event when the weather was better. In 2024, we had postponed one night to the following week due to the weather.

We would like to thank our sponsors: Ahlstrom Schaeffer, Rodgers Land Surveying, and our host for the event, Shawbucks! We would also like to thank our MC Giulia Sowery of Star Sirch Productions for running the trivia games!

From all four weeks, we had a grand total of 9 different teams and 53 different players. Each team consisted of 2 to 6 players (some weeks teams had different players).

The theme of the trivia this year was 1980s and sitcoms. Each night there were seven rounds of trivia with five questions each round. Teams gave their answers a score between 1 to 5, and they would earn points if they got the question correct. Each night, there was one final round which allowed teams to wager up to 20 of their points. If they get the answer correct, they would gain the points, but if they got the question wrong, they would lose points. The highest point total possible was 125, or 126 in the event of a tie.

Winners received a $100 prize for winning the night, and the team with the most points consecutively won $200 at the end of the four weeks. Fenton Executive Director Joni Blackman also asked local history questions from the Jamestown Centennial Trivia game for prizes. This trivia game is available in the Fenton Museum Store for $20.

In Week 1, Great Odin’s Raven, consisting of Art, Debbie, Jon, and Andy Osterdahl, Ken Liedy, and Kelly Hetrick, won the night with 92 points.

In Week 2, defending champions, Effin Judo Chop won the night with 124 points. This team consisted of Sebastian and Leslie DiNapoli; Bill, Adam, and Lindsey Loftus; and Trent Gray.

In Week 3, Great Odin’s Raven won the night again, with 120.5 points.

In Week 4, Team Jean came out on top, with 106 points. The team consisted of Jamie Glatz, Eric Anderson, Doug Nordwall, and Jamie Sharpe.

In the end, adding up the scores for all four weeks, Effin Judo Chop won with 406 points. This team consisted of Sebastian and Leslie DiNapoli; Bill, Adam, and Lindsey Loftus (all weeks); Trent Gray (weeks 1, 2, and 4), and Cindy Loftus (week 3).

In second place overall with 398.5 points was Team Jean.

In third place overall with 371.5 points was Great Odin’s Raven.

In fourth place overall with 308 points was Bunos Knows.

In fourth place overall with 289.5 points was Reuben’s Raiders.
