We are Proud to announce the 2021 feature exhibit Protest and Pride : The LGBTQ+ Community in Chautauqua County. Learn about the history of the LGBTQIA+ community in Chautauqua County and hear stories from community members about their experiences in Jamestown and Chautauqua County.
Stories and artifacts have been contributed in an effort to build an archive of LGBTQIA+ related information and materials at the Fenton History Center to document both the current experience and the history of the community for future generations. If you would like to contribute to our growing archive, please contact us.
The exhibit has been built in coordination with the Jamestown Pride Committee, the Mental Health Association of Chautauqua County, Prevention Works and the National Comedy Center.
Thanks go to the Humanities New York and the New York State Council on the Arts and the Greater Hudson Heritage Network for their support in making this project possible. #creativityincubator
