It’s time for the 20th Fenton’s Saints and Sinners Lake View Cemetery Tours and the Mausoleum Tours. This is the Fenton’s LARGEST fundraiser of the year. The carriage tours were expanded this year by 10 tours to allow for 140 more guests to enjoy and learn about our local history. The walking tours are open-ended, although we try to keep them smaller to give you a better experience.
The Mausoleum Tours will take you into three mausoleums and tell the stories of 4+ more gravesites in the cemetery. It will be the “after dark in the cemetery” experience you are looking for!
Thank you to all the volunteers that are getting ready to give our guests a great time. 40 volunteers are making this event a success. They are the backbone of the cemetery and mausoleum tours; without them we couldn’t do this event. THANK YOU to our sponsors: Ahlstrom Schaeffer Electric, a generous anonymous supporter, Rodgers Land Surveying, Allied Alarm Services, Summit Wealth Management and Media One. Without our sponsors we would never meet our fundraising goals!
I hope to see you at the cemetery!
The final Fenton History Center Lecture is Wednesday, October 8 at 1 p.m. Please join us for “Chautauqua County in the 250th Commemoration of the American Revolution” presented by Norman P. Carlson, Chautauqua County Historian. Come early, it will be standing room only.
When you stop by the museum, we have three additional exhibits for you to see. The first is the “Chautauqua County Pottery”. Then we have the “80th Anniversary of the 1945 Jamestown Tornado” video exhibit, and finally, we just installed “125 Years of Creche.”
See you at the Fenton.
