This exhibit, in the Basement Stairway, is centered on the hand tool-making and hardwood furniture industries of Jamestown.  The world-famous crescent wrench was born in Jamestown. Jamestown was the second biggest producer of hardwood furniture in the country at the turn of the 20^th century. Pictured: Giant wrench-shaped sign for the Crescent Tool Company.
