Jamestown Walking Tours: Industrial Tour

Industrial Walking Tour $10 Adults $5 Members Children 17 & under Free Join JCC Professor Traci Langworthy for a walking tour of Jamestown's industrial past highlighting the various manufacturers that made Jamestown a booming city known for its textile mills and furniture factories. The tour will also explore how the Chadakoin River and the railroad connected to form a powerful center of industry in Jamestown. Tour starts at the Fenton History Center Parking lot and lasts about 2 hours. For more information or to reserve your spot call 716-664-6256 Monday- Saturday 10-4.

Jamestown Walking Tours: Jamestown's Churches: Then and Now

Learn about the important role Jamestown’s downtown churches have played in the City’s development. From St. Luke’s Episcopal to the First Congregational – and the dozen in between – all have a story to tell. While most are gone, their influence is still evident. This is the outdoor walking tour; we cannot view the inside of churches this year due to the current CDC guidelines. This two-hour tour begins and ends at the Fenton History Center (67 Washington Street) and will be led by Joni Blackman. Interested persons should arrive by 9:45 AM for a 10 AM start time. Please follow all current CDC masking and social distancing guidelines. $10 Adults $5 Fenton History Center Members Children 17 & under: free For more information or to reserve a spot, please call us at 716-664-6256 Monday through Saturday 10-4

Virtual Author Interview with Marcia Tuttle Kleinert

Join us the evening of June 29 for a virtual interview with Marcia Tuttle Kleinert, author of the book "Kinzua Life: The Story of Ray Tuttle's Family and the People of the Villiage of Kinzua, Pennsylvania from it's Beginning to it's End" hosted by Fenton Curator Victoria Parker. Learn about what inspired her to write the book, how she researched it, and more! There will be a question and answer time at the end of the interview. Historic "Southside" Walking Tour

The Southside of Jamestown in the mid-1800s to early 1900s was a mix of neighborhoods and thriving businesses. Explore the beauty and majesty of an era gone by in the south side neighborhoods near Forest Ave. Also, learn about the early businesses and people who thrived there. Fenton Archaeologist Dr. Thomas Greer will lead the tour. The tour begins at the Fenton History Center parking lot. The tour is approximately 2 hours long and will end back at the Fenton History Center. Please follow all current CDC masking and social distancing guidelines. The fee is $10 for potential members and $5 for Fenton History Center members. Children are free. For more information or to reserve your spot please call 716-664-6256 Monday-Saturday 10-4
