Corn Husk Doll Workshop

The Fenton History Center hosted a Corn Husk Doll Workshop on May 11th. Kaycee Colburn, Fenton History Center Trustee, Artist, and Gallery owner, led the workshop.

The participants learned how to make a traditional corn husk doll as they learned about the history of doll making in the Seneca Tradition.

Kaycee told the group why the corn husk dolls do not have faces with a fascinating story. Kaycee is a member of the Wolf Clan, Seneca Nation. All participants took their dolls home and had nothing but praise for a program that was fun and educational.
