SUMMARY:Historic Tours: Pillars of the Community at Lake View Cemetery
DESCRIPTION:Participants will be visiting the sites of six of Jamestown’s prominent families located in Lake View Cemetery to learn how they contributed to the growth of our city. These families are: Hazeltine, Dow, Clark, Griswald, Parks, and Prendergast. This tour will be conducted on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tour guide is Janet Wahlberg. Participants will meet by the office at Lake View Cemetery for the start of the tour.\nThe Fenton History Center conducts historic walking tours from June to August. The cost is $12 for non-members and $8 for members. Participants can pre-register online, at the Fenton, or by phone at 716-664-6256.
